SAT Prep

Catalyst offers three options to prepare for the SAT, each with a unique set of advantages.

Individual Prep

One-on-one in-home tutoring is foundation of Catalyst SAT & College Prep. When a student chooses Individual Prep, he or she receives the personal attention of a top-notch private tutor with the resources, expertise, and accountability of a major test prep firm. Because we pay our tutors exceedingly well, students have access to the most gifted individuals to help them succeed.

Our current rate for one-on-one, in-home private tutoring is $160 per 90 minute lesson. Lessons are generally held once or twice a week during the months preceding the test date. All of our one-on-one students receive our student manual, comprehensive vocabulary list, SAT essay guide and 8 full-length diagnostic exams.

Prep With A Friend

A second option many students elect to pursue is Prep With A Friend. Prep With A Friend serves two academically-compatible students who wish to pair up for in-home lessons. Prep With A Friend involves the same comprehensive approach to the SAT as Individual Prep at the reduced rate of $100 per student per 90 minute lesson. Lessons are generally held once or twice a week during the months preceding the test date.

Prep With Two Friends

Catalyst’s Prep With Two Friends is the ideal choice for students who learn best in a cooperative environment but wish to avoid overcrowded classrooms. Prep With Two Friends serves three academically-compatible students who pair up for in-home tutoring at the reduced rate of $80 per student per 90 minute lesson. Lessons are generally held once or twice a week during the months preceding the test date.
